How do gig coaches from Lanarkshire work?

You book a return seat on a coach that runs from Lanarkshire towns to a specific show. Hydro gigs are £25.50 return, Murrayfield £31.50. Your final timings are emailed to you 48 hours before, the coach drops you at the venue, and after the show it waits until everyone is back on before heading home. You buy your gig ticket separately; the coach fare covers travel only.

Where the coach picks up

The main coach runs Route 1: Newarthill (the club), Wishaw (Wishaw Malt), Motherwell (Railway Tavern), Hamilton (the bus stop at Asda), Bellshill (Franklins Bar) and Coatbridge (the main bus station). Feeder pickups collect outlying towns for £5 a seat on top, running when at least six passengers book: Lesmahagow (Tesco) and Larkhall join the coach at Hamilton; Muirhead (Muirhead Inn), Condorrat (the Weavers), Cumbernauld (town centre bus stop) and Airdrie (Tudor Hotel) join it at Coatbridge. You choose your stop when you book. Pickup times are approximate until we confirm the exact time 24 to 48 hours before. Be at your stop 10 minutes early, the coach waits 10 minutes, and if you are not there it leaves without you.

There is no Glasgow city centre pickup. The whole point of the service is that it starts where you live, not somewhere you would have to drive to first.

Getting home after the show

The coach does not leave on a timer. It waits at the agreed spot until everyone from the run is aboard, then drives home. No taxi queue on the bridge, no surge pricing, no last train.

Glasgow-area shows (OVO Hydro, Hampden, Bellahouston) are £25.50 return. Edinburgh runs (Murrayfield, Royal Highland Centre) are £31.50 to £32.50. Kids travel cheaper on family events. You pay online when you book and your seat is held the moment payment goes through.
