What is included in the price of a coach holiday?
The price is per person based on two sharing a room and it covers three things: your return coach seat from Motherwell, your hotel for the nights advertised, and the meals on the board basis stated, which on all seven current holidays is dinner, bed and breakfast. Anything listed on that holiday's own page as included is included, which on the five-day breaks means two full days of touring and live entertainment every evening. Lunches, the bar, insurance and anything you buy at the destination are not in the price.
In the price
The return coach from Motherwell with the same driver there and back. The hotel for the number of nights the holiday advertises. Dinner, bed and breakfast. Every excursion, entry or extra that holiday's page lists under what is included.
On the five-day breaks that means two full days of touring from the hotel and live entertainment every evening. Three of them carry a half price bar for the whole stay. On the shorter breaks it means the stops on the way, like Gretna Gateway and the day at York Christmas Market.
Not in the price
Lunches, drinks, and whatever you spend at the destination. Travel insurance, which is worth arranging yourself. Room supplements, where the holiday has one, and those are gone through with you on the phone rather than added at the checkout.
Where a holiday's page does not name a day out, it is because it has not been fixed yet, not because it is hidden. We would rather leave a line off than put one on and change it.
What you pay and when
A deposit online, £25 on the short breaks and £50 on the five-day tours, which holds the seat. Online bookings carry a small booking fee, itemised before you pay. Book in the shop in Motherwell and you pay the deposit as listed.
The balance is settled on the phone with the office, not on the website. They ring you, go through the room and any supplement, and take the rest. Final timings are emailed to you 48 hours before you travel.
